Success Story
Challenge
An international logistics and exporting company was struggling with four critical issues:
1. Automating its supply chain
2. Improving communications with its customers around the world
3. Moving its headquarters to a new state
4. Significantly increasing staffing levels to support business diversification
Without a senior technology executive on staff, the company needed to find a partner who could hit the
ground running and deliver immediate, tangible results.
Solution
The Interim CIO / CTO,
working directly with the executive team, quickly assessed and prioritized the client's business and
technology issues. Utilizing Optimal Services'
facilitated problem-solving methodology, the Interim
CIO / CTO identified the technical and financial constraints that had hampered previous client
efforts. After analyzing the client's supply chain and
customer communications infrastructures, he developed a 3-year plan
to automate the supply chain and integrate it with legacy systems.
Utilizing Business Process Reengineering
(BPR) techniques,
process improvements were created and implemented to streamline
client communications. The Interim
CIO / CTO also developed strategic
and tactical plans to support the
organizational expansion and facilities relocation initiatives.
As these initiatives go live, the client has retained the Interim
CIO / CTO to provide leadership and guidance
throughout the transition period.
